What’s better than homemade ice cream? Not much! Making homemade ice cream is not only fun for the whole family, but it can also be a great way to save money. The best part about homemade ice cream is that you get to use all of your favorite flavors and toppings. And if you want even more taste, adding some homemade whipped topping will do the trick! Now let’s get started on making some delicious homemade ice cream in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
– 2 cups Whole Milk
– 6 Tablespoons Sugar
– 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract (or other desired flavor)
– Pinch of salt
Step Two: Mix It Up!
– In a small bowl, mix together your milk, sugar, and salt. Stir it until all of the ingredients are dissolved in one another. *Note: If you prefer homemade whipped topping instead of using ice cream machines or homemade bowls to freeze homemade ice cream with, simply place a container full of homemade whipped cream in the freezer for at least an hour before serving.
– Pour your mixture into a large bowl or pitcher with a lid, cover it tightly and place in the fridge to chill overnight or up to 24 hours.
Step Three: The Finale!
– When you’re ready to serve homemade ice cream, remove the bowl from the fridge and give it a good shake. Open it up and pour in your extract (or another flavoring) of choice.
